Let’s begin at the beginning. The good guys with Cromwell’s Menz Shed have a problem … to build all those great projects for our community, to fix all the things we need fixing, they have to run diesel generators, as well as pay for power from the grid.
It’s expensive.
They do so much for us in the community. What if we could do something for them?

Electrify Cromwell! was created by locals, for locals. Our goal is simple: to help our community lower energy bills, reduce emissions, and become more resilient.
What we do
As part of Rewiring Aotearoa’s nationwide network of Electric Communities, we support households to:
cut energy costs
switch to energy-efficient electric alternatives
get easier access to solar and battery options, and
take practical steps toward a cleaner, affordable, more resilient future.

A future where every household enjoys clean, reliable, and affordable energy, supported by a mix of individual and community-owned solar generation, energy sharing, and a collective commitment to sustainability.
