Community Project Opportunities
We all bring different perspectives to the table, but we are united as a community by our care for purposeful work, thoughtful planning, and real connection.
Check out the roles and opportunities where you can benefit the wonderful community we live in.
Cromwell Chinese Village
The framework has been erected for the main building - thanks to the combined efforts of amazing volunteers. Now the project managers, Janeen and Mary, are looking for people to help with building up river stones around the cottage, setting in stone steps and getting those authentic details closer to the original. Get in touch and contribute what time you can to one or more of the working days.
Hands-on help
Predator Free Cromwell
As Predator Free Cromwell grows, we're looking for someone (or several people!) to help with the admin that supports our volunteers and community programmes.
Our Administration Coordinator role covers everything from volunteer support to communications and record keeping. It's a flexible role that could be shared, depending on skills, interests and availability. You don't need to be an expert in predator control – good organisational skills and a willingness to help are what matter most.
The role is voluntary initially, with the potential of being paid as funding becomes available. Hours are flexible, and most of the work can be done remotely. You'll be helping build the foundations for Predator Free Cromwell's future, while making a real contribution to protecting our native wildlife across the Cromwell district.
Could this be you? Whether you have a few hours to offer or would like to take on the full role, we'd love to hear from you. Contact us to find out more about this opportunity, and how you can get involved.
Volunteer Role - moving to Paid position
Volunteer roleBoard Trustee
The Cromwell & Districts Community Trust (CDCT) is looking for enthusiastic people to join our Board of Trustees and help shape the future of our district.
Trustees work behind the scenes to turn community ideas into reality. We support local groups with the guidance, resources and connections they need to develop successful projects – from environmental initiatives and heritage preservation to community wellbeing and resilience.
As a volunteer trustee, you'll help guide the Trust's direction, contribute to decisions and support the people and projects making a difference in our community. You don't need previous governance experience. We're looking for people who bring fresh perspectives, practical skills, good judgement and a genuine commitment to our district.
Could you help make good ideas happen? If you have a passion for Cromwell's future, we'd love to hear from you. Contact us to find out more about becoming a CDCT trustee.
