Project Tīrau: A Once-in-a-Generation Opportunity for Cromwell
The former Cromwell polytechnic site presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to retain the site in community ownership and reimagine it as a Community Learning and Wellbeing Centre. This is an asset that would strengthen our community, our economy, and our shared sense of place.
Stone by Stone: Rebuilding History
Between 1866 and 1920, more than 400 Chinese people lived in what was known as Cromwell’s ‘Chinatown’. An exciting CDCT project is honouring their history, and the contribution they made to the Cromwell community.
